Welcome to One More Summit!

Hello! My name is Jeff Kudo, and my love for the outdoors began when I was very young, traveling to Yosemite with my family. Growing up, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and adventure, which eventually led me to pursue backpacking and mountaineering in various terrains, from local trails to the backcountry wilderness.

As an Eagle Scout, I honed my outdoor skills and learned the importance of preparedness, the ability to improvise under any circumstance, responsibility, and respect for the environment. These values continue to guide me in my backpacking endeavors today.

Over the years and through countless hours of experimentation, I’ve honed my own methods for preparing for both solo and group expeditions. My hope is that by sharing detailed insights into my setups, I can help you develop gear kits and systems that reflect your unique style and needs.

Legacy of Excellence

Throughout my life, I’ve pursued excellence in all endeavors, from earning the rank of Eagle Scout to competing at the national and collegiate level in swimming and becoming a professor-level black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Gracie Humaitá. These experiences taught me discipline, perseverance, and the value of sharing knowledge with others—qualities I bring to both the trail and this community.
